Regarding: contract suggestion
Hi! It's me the lead balloon again.

So, quite a few staff members are in the process of contract negotiations
etc. and I was thinking that it may be a good idea to have some sort of an
opt out clause included in all of our contracts/job descriptions.
The opt out clause would be related to the timing of the CFA evaluative
review part II that will be happening at the end of January 1999.

From what I understand, at the end of January CFA will be looking into the
working environment of MVA again. At that time they will be inquiring as
to what is happening with programming, staff morale, working conditions
etc. If all is peachy, than bravo to everyone, but if there is still wide
dissatisfaction, perhaps the only options for action etc should not be left
solely in the hands of CFA.

I think that if come the end of January, staff members should be able to
decide for themselves if they want to remain employed in MVA and that a
clause should be included that would allow for the opt out option that
would not jeopardize staff members status with the banff centre and or
eligibility to move on/collect u.i.c. or whatever.

What do you all think?
