Join artist Anna Lucas in making blind carbon drawings from a unique selection of movie clips that relate to visual perception. We will draw our way through the film extracts, scrawling and scribbling any observations and imagery. For the main feature we will work from a beautifully unique documentary about mirages and deserts.
BIO~
Anna Lucas is a London based artist filmmaker, whose films in documentary contexts are reaching great acclaim. She makes work that develops observations of social networks and group dynamics in response to specific geographic and architectural locations. In 2008, she was Artist in Residence at The Oxford University Department of Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics where she connected blindness, drawing and neuroscience through a series of events called 'Land of Silence and Darkness'.
