The medium will be helium balloons and the message will be drawn or written with Dawn as your drawing co- pilot. It can be a desire, dream or absolutely anything. The balloons will fill the gallery sky with whatever you want. The roof will be raised with a multi-coloured cloud of balloons with your messages for tags. It will be like Dawn's multi-coloured dream cloud. Dawn's desire for this afternoon is for you to become an active performer in her performance.
BIO~
Brian Dawn Chalkley is a transvestite with a manifesto who paints and draws at home in her flat on Mare Street. Dawn by day is Brian; course leader of MA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design. Dawn's love of night life and sexuality and gender sub cultures is the key to drawings, painting performance and video work that pull us through the truth and maybe not the truth. Brian Dawn is an outstanding compère at places such as The Red Velvet Curtain Club, and was included in Pilot and nominated for Becks Futures. Most recently Dawn was awarded a residency in a Frankfurt Bar and Brian has opened a gallery .The Apartment. with artist Lewis Amar.
