Patricia Jordan
DATE ~
Sunday 3rd May 11am - 3pm
LOCATION ~
Spike Island
ADDRESS ~
SUBJECT ~
The Dead Animals Club
DETAILS ~
Patricia draws dead animals 'because you can really look at them then'. The artist will bring her collection of frozen in time animals, and create a still life out of the still lives. This natural collection begins on the premise that the artist is not a naturalist expert, but knows some things about some lives; through personal experience, relationship and drawing. Out of the desire to see and live with the other, Patricia draws a most detailed painstaking version of the life she encounters in death. The session will meander into stories about birds, dogs, death, love and the social/political relations that gather around the animal kingdom.
